Conservatories by Caledonian
We firmly believe that a conservatory should be a room for all seasons, not an oven in the summer and a fridge in the winter.
All our conservatories are built to comply and surpass the latest building standards regulations. We insulate the floors and walls and install glass with solar gain and reflection properties, to ensure you can enjoy your conservatory in comfort throughout the year!
Many of our customers are opting to add a conservatory rather than moving home when the inevitable pressure of lack of space becomes an issue. A conservatory can be whatever you want it to be, extra living space, a place to dine and entertain, a children’s playroom or simply a quiet room to relax and bring the outdoors indoors.
We have built conservatories to suit many differing needs, from a small sitting room at home, to a 200 sq m portal frame structure to form a hotels dining room annex. We have enclosed swimming pools and are increasing building conservatories to house spas due to Scotland’s notoriously unpredictable weather. Our conservatories are ideally suited for this purpose when fitted with electric roof vents – to let the steam out!

The Orangery
This is the ultimate in conservatory design, and is new to our range. This tradition style which takes its name from the garden rooms, in which the aristocracy cultivated their exotic fruits and plants, is a substantial hybrid conservatory/extension. An Orangery comprises of chunky brick or stone butts which support a flat roof structure finished in ornamental cladding and in the centre of the roof there is a glass conservatory roof, to flood the room in light. This would compliment listed buildings, and modern houses – it adds a touch of class.
